What a ridiculous option to be included. Is there a low friction, I’d like to drive off a cliff option. Can I specify rotors made out of aluminum and calipers made out of cheese?

What you need is the real RC-F so that you can get high friction brake pads standard. :)

Cheese-calipers come standard on the ES.
Sarcasm aside, I can’t quite figure out your post. Are you mocking Lexus for offering fake performance options on a fake performance car, or are you just not a fan of the RC at all?
The former I agree with, though the people who buy an RC aren’t going to go racing with it anyway, they just want their reliable DD to come as a stylish two-door coupe.
If the latter, then there is no need to mock. Just say you don’t like it.

Do the laws of physics cease to exist in this particular automobile?

It’s an option available on all of the F-Sports. It’s also an option on the CTS V-Sport.

Yes.
And in the ES time stops completely. That is why old people buy them, so they can stay alive longer.

Calipers made out of cheese?
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

No, there’s normal specification and then there is high specification.

Lexus:
Oh this is a high performance car, alright! It has so many vents!
.....yes, they’re toootally there! Look at the butt fins. Wait, don’t look at them so closely.
No, check out the metal exhaust tip...I mean. Shit pickles ._.
Yes....we chopped an IS in half, gave it a butt job and and gussied it up! Happy?!

Oh I quite like the the car, I was actually looking at it for my mom. I just found the phrase “high friction brake pads” amusing and imagining low friction pads was fun.

That’s entirely reasonable, I just thought it was amusing.

When I hear “high friction brake pads,” I immediately think of the Hawk HP Racing pads on my WRX. Super grippy and zero fade, but they make a deafeningly loud squeal unless they’re up to racing temperatures.
As in “turning on a microphone” deafening. I’m sure my neighbors love hearing me drive to work at 6:30 am every morning.
